We understand that every child is unique, offering individualized treatment plans tailored to meet their specific needs; using skilled observation, parent collaboration, and child interests. Our occupational therapist works closely with each child, to help them develop the skills necessary for daily activities and to improve their independence with learning, self-care, and overall quality of life. ADLs & IADLs
We believe that everyone deserves to live a life of independence and purpose. With a focus on self-care and activities of daily living, we work closely with our patients to ensure they reach their full potential. Whether your child requires assistance with feeding, dressing, grooming, or other daily activities, or higher level skills, such as doing laundry, simple meal prep, or other 'chores', we're here to help. We use direct practice of self-care activities, as well as indirect skill-building for ability to perform ADLs functionally.
Sensory Integration Therapy
Sensory integration therapy is a key component of our occupational therapy services. We utilize the most up to date evidence-based techniques to help children with sensory processing difficulties. Through a combination of sensory experiences and therapeutic activities, we aim to improve their sensory processing abilities, enhance their self-regulation skills, emotional regulation, and coping skills, and promote overall well-being. Whether your child seeks out movement constantly, avoids foods by texture or sounds by covering ears, or if they can not regulate emotions, reach out for an OT evaluation.
Fine Motor and Visual Motor Skill Development
Fine and visual motor skills are essential for tasks such as writing, using scissors, dressing, feeding, and interacting with our environments. Our occupational therapist specializes in helping children develop and refine their fine and visual motor skills. Using a variety of engaging activities and exercises to strengthen hand-eye coordination, grasp, scanning/searching, dexterity, and precision, upper extremity strength and endurance, we are enabling children to become more independent in their daily activities at home and at school.
